yBlock (“we”, “us”) provides order-management software for online stores (“the Service”), available at yblock.app and app.yblock.app. This policy explains what information we handle and why. Businesses that use yBlock (“Merchants”) remain responsible for their relationship with their own customers.
1. Information we handle
- Account information: names, email addresses and roles of Merchant staff who sign up or are invited.
- Store data from connected platforms: when a Merchant connects Shopify, we receive orders, products and customer details needed to process orders (such as name, phone number, shipping address, order items and amounts, order notes and tags).
- Shipping data: parcel bookings, tracking numbers, delivery statuses and courier statements from courier accounts the Merchant connects (for example ShipKartex or Leopards).
- WhatsApp data: if a Merchant connects their WhatsApp Business account, messages sent to and received from their customers, message statuses and templates.
- Files the Merchant uploads: such as evidence for courier cases and statement files.
- Technical data: log data such as IP address, browser type and actions taken in the app, used for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: import and display orders, confirm orders, book and track parcels, send messages the Merchant has configured, manage returns and reconcile payments.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and keep an audit trail of changes.
- To provide support and communicate with Merchants about their account.
We do not sell personal information and do not use Merchants' customer data for our own marketing.
3. Sharing
We share information only as needed to run the Service on the Merchant's instructions:
- Courier companies the Merchant books with (shipping details needed for delivery).
- Meta (WhatsApp), when the Merchant sends WhatsApp messages through their own WhatsApp Business account.
- Shopify, when the Merchant chooses to update fulfilment, tracking or tags in their store.
- Infrastructure providers that host our servers and backups, under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
- Authorities, where required by law.
4. Storage and security
Each Merchant's data is kept separate from other Merchants'. Courier and WhatsApp credentials are stored encrypted. Access within a Merchant's account is limited by role, and important changes are logged. Data is backed up regularly. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect information using industry-standard measures.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep data for as long as the Merchant's account is active and as needed for legal, accounting or dispute purposes. A Merchant can ask us to delete their account and data by contacting us. If a Merchant disconnects Shopify, syncing stops; previously imported data remains until deletion is requested.
Customers of a Merchant who want their data accessed, corrected or deleted should contact the Merchant they ordered from; we will assist the Merchant with such requests. You may also contact us at support@yblock.app.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information. Contact us to exercise them.
7. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page or by email to account owners.
